Annie Lorenzo, Managing Editor of L’Amateur de Cigare wins the 2023 Habano Award
Annie Lorenzo, Managing Editor of L’Amateur de Cigare, received the 2023 Habano Award in the Communication category this Friday March 1 in Cuba.
Annie Lorenzo is part of the team that founded the French magazine in 1994, exactly 30 years ago, under the leadership of Jean-Paul Kauffmann, also winner of the Habano Award in 1999.
This year, the other two nominees in the Communication category were British YouTuber Kirby Allison and Albanian influencer Fabio Ballestracci.
Annie Lorenzo was nominated for the second time after 2017.
The Habano Award, sometimes called “Habano man/woman of the year” (“hombre/mujer Habano” in Spanish), has been awarded every year since 1995 to the most deserving personalities in three categories: Communication, Business and Production. The prizes, awarded by the management of Habanos SA, are traditionally announced during the closing evening of the Festival del Habano.
This year, the other two winners are Ana Isel Medero Cano, Director of the Quality at El Laguito factory in the Production category and the emirati businessman Mohameb Mohebi in the Business category.
