A cigar for the Superbowl

Every year, La Flor Dominicana releases a limited edition cigar, sold only in the state where the Superbowl is held. This year’s Superbowl will take place on February 3rd in Atlanta, Georgia.

Cigars (4,500 copies in boxes of 10 numbered) are coming to Georgian cigar stores these days. This is our review.

Box-pressed cigar. Colorado maduro wrapper topped with a pattern representing a football, drawn with a Connecticut claro wrapper leaf.
Cold draw tasting : lots of wood and some spices. Good draw.

Very balanced ignition on a very slightly peppery vegetable atmosphere. The combustion is slow and well paced. The aromas go deeper and deeper as the tasting goes.
The cigar then turns to liquorice while the smoke becomes fatter.
Peppery third part and final.

A collector’s cigar, with a very Dominican taste in its first part (vegetable notes), but offering a nice evolution thereafter. Seductive overall. Great technical performance of the torcedores regarding the visual aspect.
