Silencio Los Rios, the “sweetest creation” of the brand
Hot on the heels of the Red and Black lines, Silencio has just added the Los Ríos line to its French catalogue. Draped in a connecticut wrapper grown in the volcanic province of Los Ríos, Ecuador – and rolled in the Dominican Republic – these cigars are billed as the brand’s “sweetest creation.”
The Toro version is the one that caught the attention of our Tasting Committee.

Slightly stockier than its opponent, the Toro has the same colorado claro outfit. It starts off nice and easy. After a few spicy hints, which soon fade, the cigar serves up a rather elegant bouquet of dried herbs, wood, fern and wilted flowers. A summery disposition overall; it is willing, soothing and pleasant. You allow yourself to be carried away by a sort of indolence. Not overly strong, but sufficient. The flavor profile is limited but clever and pleasant. Each puff is testament to its excellent build. It becomes almost mellow at the start of the final third. Nothing revolutionary, but well-paced.
